Without Further Adeiu... Sir ByeRun Bloo!

This is Sir ByeRun Bloo or ByeRun for short. As you can see he's quite the handsome boy! He's a recently retired racing greyhound who used to go by the name Al Igot Bottom. Ugly name, right? I agree. ByeRun is so much more refined! You can take a look at his pedigree here, but I want to forewarn you that although he was bred from greatness, he never made it to a track.

I've learned from our first few days together that ByeRun loves colorful Goldfish snacks, a Love Glove brush down, and staring at himself in our mirrored wall. His dislikes include hardwood floors, green county trash bins (he's okay with blue recycling ones), and the rug underneath the kitchen table. ByeRun gets along great with our little mutt, Itty Bitty Buttercup. Although I think she's a bit traumatized by how big of a fella he is, she's starting to warm up to him quite nicely.

I'd like to believe ByeRun is starting to come around, but he's extremely shy and very sensitive as well. I feel like ByeRun is still uncomfortable with his surroundings. He gets tons of hugs and kisses along with lots of encouragement and praise, but I feel like I'm the only person who is going through this awkward beginning. I read many of  the greyhound blogs here on Blogger on a daily basis and I love how quirky all those greyhounds are, and it makes me think that I'm not doing things right. I really want my special boy to be happy so if anyone out there has any advice for me, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Well, I think this is the end of my 1st post...

Adeiu,
Sir ByeRun Bloo and Alani Joi too! :)
